DAOL (the "app") handles your personal information with care and complies with applicable privacy law. This policy explains what the app handles and what — if anything — leaves your device.
Your workouts and body info stay on this device. Only anonymous usage statistics are sent.
1. Information That Stays on Your Device
Your name, age, height, weight, training goal, and every workout record (exercise, weight, reps, rest time, notes) are stored only on your device. The app never sends this to a server, and no one — including the developer — can view it.
This data is deleted when you use [Settings > Reset All Data] or delete the app.
2. Information We Collect (Usage Statistics)
To improve the app, we collect the following anonymously.
- Anonymous identifier — a random UUID generated by the app. It is not tied to your name, email, or any account.
- Usage events — screen views, onboarding completion, routine saves, workout starts and completions
- Device information — device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone
- Connection information — IP address (used to determine country/region only; we do not collect precise location)
Your actual age, height, weight, and workout values are never transmitted. For example, we record how many profile fields you filled in — never the values you entered.
3. Why We Collect It
- To learn which features are actually used, so we can prioritize improvements
- To find where users get stuck
- To detect errors and crashes
We do not use this for advertising or marketing, and we do not combine it with data from other companies' apps or websites. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) to track you.
4. Transfer Outside Your Country
The usage statistics in section 2 are processed through PostHog, an analytics tool, and stored on servers in the United States.

PostHog acts solely as a processor, storing and analyzing the data on our behalf, and does not use it for any other purpose.
5. Retention and Deletion
Data on your device is deleted immediately when you use [Settings > Reset All Data] or delete the app.
Usage statistics are automatically deleted 12 months after collection.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, deletion of, or a halt to the processing of your information. Contact us through [Settings > Contact Us] or the email below, and we will act without delay.
If you do not want usage statistics collected, email us and we will delete what has been collected from your device. Deleting the app stops any further collection.
7. Children Under 14
This app is intended for users aged 14 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.
8. How We Protect Your Information
The anonymous identifier is stored in your device's secure storage (Keychain), and all outbound communication is encrypted with HTTPS.

10. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will notify you through an app update and the in-app screen. If what we collect or why we collect it changes, we will tell you before the change takes effect.
